HSS configuration delivers wide-ranging tones

It’s no surprise that Kramer’s instruments dish out plenty of heat for rock, metal, and any aggressive play style you seek. That said, the Striker’s trio of in-house-designed pickups offer the kind of versatility found in workhouse guitars fit for any occasion, solidifying this 6-string as much more than your standard shredder axe. A roaring Alnico 5HB-1 humbucker resides in the bridge, delivering plenty of grit and bite with excellent depth and crystal clarity. Flip over to the Alnico 5SC-1 single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions to channel that coveted spank and twang as well as smooth, glassy cleans. Though a fire-breather at heart, this pickup configuration equips the Striker for sonic battle in any situation.

Bend and dive into oblivion with Floyd Rose

Texturing your solos and leads with tasty tremolo action is a cinch with a trusty Floyd Rose on hand. The Striker comes stock with this double-locking system, keeping things tight at the bridge as well as the nut for unmatched tuning stability. Sweetwater players commonly reach for their Floyd Rose-equipped instruments when needing to add some welcome expression and creativity into their playing, facilitating subtle warbles to screaming dives and everything in between. Throw on the whammy bar, lock it down, and go wild all night long!

Brand

Kramer

The company was founded in the late 1970s by Dennis Berardi and Gary Kramer, a close friend and associate of Travis Bean, to manufacture aluminum-necked guitars. Gary Kramer, Dennis Berardi, Peter LaPlaca (a Vice President at Norlin, parent company of Gibson in 1974), and investor Henry Vaccaro joined forces to open a plant in Neptune, New Jersey. Soon thereafter, Gary Kramer moved to Los Angeles, and his connection with the company would become in name only, long before the wooden neck era that began in the 1980s.
